A little old man just knocked on the door at our office and asked if I could fill up a jug with water for him. While I was filling it up, he took two soda cans out of the garbage. He asked me if he could have them. When I said yes, he gave me a wide, toothless grin, and said, "you sure have a good heart, giving up these cans for me."

What a humbling statement! Understanding that empty soda cans are so meaningful for this man really put things in to perspective for me today. I wonder how often I discard things that others see as necessary for survival. My heart was both broken and full at the same time.

And what a beautiful glimpse of the Divine! I am honored that God would choose me to bless this poor, old, beautiful man. And in so doing, I too was blessed.

I've been up to a lot lately, and realized I have hardly shared any of it with you! So here's a glimpse of my past month and a half...

In the beginning of April, I went to California for spring break!

I visited my brother in Santa Barbara and we had the most delicious breakfast together! Acai bowls with granola, agave nectar, coconut and fresh fruit! Yum!

I visited Hearst Castle with my family...

went to the San Diego botanical garden...

hung out in the beautiful Balboa Park...

and had a skype party with my friends!
It was a wonderful week that went by far too quickly!

Lots has happened since I've been back in Atlanta, too.
We got two goldfish, named Peace and Justice...

went to the Inman Park Festival...

witnessed a crazy butterfly parade...

made vegetarian sushi...

and helped out at a dance show for Moving in the Spirit!

We also had a huge Easter Egg Hunt for the kids in our neighborhood! We hid over 500 eggs in the South Atlanta Park. The kids had a blast, and so did I!

What have you been up to lately? I'd love to hear about it!

From Atlanta, with love!
